Dr TC Nag received his MSc and PhD degree from the University of Calcutta. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biology, University of Montréal, Canada and later worked as a research associate and Pool Officer in Neurobiology at the department of Anatomy at AIIMS, New Delhi. He also worked as a lecturer in West Bengal Educational Service after which he joined as an assistant professor in the electron microscopy section of the department.  He is a recipient of Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize of ICMR,  swiss replica watches SS Parmar Foundation Award and JR Bhattacharjee Award of Indian Academy of Neurosciences and is a member of National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad.


Age-related changes (structural and neurochemical) in the retina and factors associated with those changes, effects of bright prolonged light exposure on the retina, role of prenatal sound stimulation and noise on auditory system maturation.
